Math Instructor | August 2017

Position Summary: Faculty positions to teach on an annual contract basis. Appointment may be reviewed for renewal or transition to a multi-year contracted position.

Position Duties: Teach undergraduate sections of mathematics. Participate in faculty meetings, department meetings and curriculum development. Required reporting includes attendance, grading, syllabi, student learning outcomes, and professional development.

Minimum/Required Qualifications:

  • Masters in Math or MBA with quantitative analysis coursework
  • Teaching experience at the high school or college/university level, including online formats

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Ph.D. in Math
  • Five years or more college-level teaching experience
  • Experience in curriculum development, course design and evaluation

Salary is commensurate with education and experience. Position is open until filled.

Student Counselor | August 2017

Position Summary: Positions are part time, approximately 16 hours per week while classes are in session (two full days in office) and on an annual contract basis. Appointment may be reviewed for renewal or transition to a multi-year contracted position.

Position Duties: Counselor reports to the Director of Counseling and works collaboratively with the Dean of Students, college administration, teachers, faculty, and other student success staff.

Minimum/Required Qualifications:

  • Must be fully licensed under California Board of Behavioral Sciences.
  • MS or PhD in Psychology; MS or PhD in Marriage and Family Therapy; MSW, DSW, or PhD in Clinical Social Work.
  • Experience in Adolescent and Adult psychotherapy.
  • Knowledge of Lanterman, Petris and Short Act.
  • Knowledge of the California Welfare and Institutions Codes 5150, 5250 and 5300
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Ability to make referrals to community resources.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 10 years or more experience working the young adults in a college or performing arts setting.
