Housing Costs

These costs apply only to those students planning to utilize YA student housing.

Tuition and housing costs listed above do not include costs for textbooks, food, furnishings, personal costumes, and personal care items. Please include a budget for these items when calculating your overall costs for the YA program.

2018-2019 Academic Year

Tuition & Fees

For all enrollment options:
Tuition – $310 per unit

NOTE: Option B students have additional tuition and fees owed to North Central Michigan College for partnered courses. Partnered courses receive discount toward YACPA tuition.

Fees applied to all students:
Non-refundable deposit: $150 per prospective student, submitted with your Enrollment Decision
Student Success Fee – $30 per unit
Library Fee – $12 per unit
Enrollment Fee – $28 per unit
Building & Technology Fee – $30 per unit
Costume Fee – $15

Fees for specific courses:
Semi-Private Voice – $5
Private Voice – $5
Life Skills – $5
Vocal Techniques I/II – $10
Piano – $10

Housing Costs

These costs apply only to those students planning to utilize YA student housing.

Security Deposit: $750 per student (a portion of this may be returned or credited at the end of the school year depending on the condition of the apartment)

Background Check Fee: $45 per student

Housing Fees: 
Option 1: $5,960 per student (includes 8.5 months)
Option 2: $6,460 per student (includes 8.5 months)
Option 3: $7,530 per student (includes 8.5 months)
Rates depend on the number of students in each room/apartment. Students will have the opportunity to request specific housing options prior to arrival.

Utilities (Internet, Gas, Water, Trash & Electricity): Included in rates above. Students may be charged additional fees if average monthly utility cost per student exceeds $80.
