Quick Breakdown of Option A, B, & C Two-Year Tuition Costs
Option A: YACPA AA in Performance = $15,380
Based on two years (4 semesters) of YACPA tuition of $230 per unit x 60 units, plus fees
Option B: YACPA and NCMC Dual Enrollment = $23,900
Based on two years (4 semesters) of YACPA tuition at $172 per unit (approx.) x 60 units, plus fees and two years (4 semesters) of NCMC out-of-state tuition at $250 per unit (approx.) x 48 units, plus fees.
NOTE: Michigan residents are eligible for a discounted NCMC tuition rate of approximately $195 per unit and residents of Emmett County, MI are eligible for a discounted NCMC tuition rate of approximately $120 per unit.
Option C: YA Certificate Training Program = $11,440
Based on year one tuition (2 semesters) at $230 per unit x 30 units, plus fees and year two Membership Fee of $3,750.
Fees applied to all students:
Non-refundable deposit: $150 per prospective student

- Enrollment Fee: $350/semester
- Student Services Fee: $25/semester
- Technology Fee: $20/semester
- YA Membership Fee:
- 2nd Year: $3,750 for active YAs who are not enrolled as full-time students with YA College
- 3rd Year and beyond: $150 per year for active YAs not enrolled as full-time students with YA College
These costs apply only to those students planning to utilize YA student housing.
Background Check Fee: $45 per student
Security Deposit: $750 per student (a portion of this may be returned or credited at the end of the school year depending on the condition of the apartment)
Option 1: $525 per month per student (x 9 months)
Option 2: $575 per month per student (x 9 months)
Option 3: $680 per month per student (x 9 months)
Rates depend on the number of students in each room/apartment. Students will have the opportunity to request specific housing options prior to arrival. A discount applies when housing is paid up-front rather than monthly.
Utilities (Gas, Water, Trash & Electricity): Approximately $80 per month per student (this is the average cost and fluctuates based on actual usage)
Tuition and housing costs listed above do not include costs for textbooks, food, furnishings, personal costumes, and personal care items. Please include a budget for these items when calculating your overall costs for the YA program.
